As we continue...

Okay, if you are looking for something to do as a family I must suggest what Ronda, Alyssa, Brayden and I did last night. Since we have spent so much time with the medical conditions that plague Brayden, Ronda and I decided that following Brayden's doctors appointment we would take Alyssa up to Ober Gatlinburg so that she could go "snowtubing" and to actually play in snow that has accumulated. Although Brayden is too little (must be over 3 years old) and Ronda sat inside with him, I believe that we had a good family experience. Due to the weather conditions, we were unable to make it up the mountain with our vehicle and it probably a good idea that we didn't. With the continued snow during or time on the mountain the road up and down almost became inpassable.

On our way back we stopped at Red Lobster to get a little seafood for supper. Of course Alyssa enjoyed the freshest Macaroni and Chesse while Ronda and I took part in a couple different dishes of Shrimp.

This took us to the end of our day as it was almost 1030 last night when we got home. The family was able to take a long rest and didn't completely wake up until about 11 today. This impart to the "Snow Day" offered to students by the administration of Jefferson County Schools.

As I mentioned in my first post, one of my most important resolutions is the health and sanity of my family. One of my goals to ensure the happiness of my family is to strive to accomplish lots more fun stuff than we have done in the past. I believe we succeeded with this one.

Just remember always look for extra fun in the sun...

New Year's Resolution

Well now that it is officially 2009 I believe that I must put together my list of resolutions that I will attempt to complete. As we all know, the ability to resolve a list of New Year's resolutions is extremely difficult. In addition to having my internal list, the list I create for the bettering of myself of the next 365 days, I will also publish this list to each of you. By doing this, I believe I will be more apt to "stick" to the list and hopefully become a better person.

1) More dedication and attention to my family.
- This will include not only my wife, daughter, and son, but my family, my wife's family, and
friends that I would consider family.

2) An attention to personal health. Some people like to say they would like to lose weight, or "get healthier" I would like to take attention to overall personal health which would include losing weight and becoming more physically fit, but also looking at ways increasing my life expectancy.

3) Semi-Annual Vacations - I would like to take this year to begin annual vacations which would include a minimum of one summer vacation and one fall/winter vacation. I have fallen prey to work overload and I believe that by implementing this resolution I will be able to grow personally, as a family, and as an employee.

4) Personal Savings - I would like to take this year to become more financially independent. This would include the reduction of outgoing funds to those considered "bills" from working with utility companies to reduce use of resources to paying off as many of our recurring expenses as possible.

5) Completion of construction projects at the house - There are several things that are still incomplete from our remodeling at the house. I would like to complete all projects to begin others. We would like to extend our back deck the full-length of the house and put a set of french doors out of the dining room area. Also would like to enclose the carport into a garage.
(Those that would like to help...)

I believe that as you would notice, this is a very lofty set of goals that I would like to attain. The goal though is not ones that I must strive to attain, they are goals I will attain...
